MANILA, Philippines — Global call center outsourcer Teleperformance is setting up its Asian regional headquarters in the 20-story Alphaland Southgate Tower at the corner of EDSA and Don Chino Roces Avenue in Makati.

The building is the first office venture of new real estate player Alphaland Corp., a joint venture between the group of former Trade Minister Roberto V. Ongpin and British fund Ashmore UK Holdings.

In a press statement, Alphaland Corp. announced that it had trumped other premium buildings in the Global City, Makati and Ortigas business districts to bag the Teleperformance contract.

“It was the ideal setting for our regional office primarily due to the location and direct access to the MRT,” said Dave Rizzo, Managing Director at Teleperformance.

Teleperformance is a global leader in contact center outsourcing with over 100,000 employees in 270 contact centers spread out in 50 countries.

In the Philippines, Teleperformance currently has 7,000 work stations in six contact centers in Manila and Bacolod City.
